Fun & Strange Weekend

This last weekend we had a chance to go to St George. Mark had to do some work on a customer's guest house and they let us stay there for the night. It was a quick trip but it is always fun to get away, even if it means 5 hours in the car with our kids.

The house was beautiful. I love to see these nice homes, but I also don't like it because we always get ideas that we would like to do in our house. Conner was very excited for a tour of the house and even more excited that he got to sleep in the guest room with his own bathroom and kitchen.
Conner was also very excited to get in the hot tub. So in the morning we went out to get it ready and found this little guy. Needless to say, Conner didn't want to get in anymore.

The backyard of the house is on a golf course, so instead of the hot tub we played around on the golf course. I was worried that we would get in trouble, but it was early enough in the morning and we didn't see anyone. So I guess we were ok.

This picture is to prove how early it was. I haven't seen my shadow that tall in a long time.

Conner was trying to chase all of the ducks around the pond.
Before we left St George, we did a little shopping at the outlets and I got some great deals on winter clothes for next year. And we found a park to play at before we strapped the boys in for another long car ride home.

On the way home we stopped by the cheese factory and got ice cream. It was delicious! And kept the boys busy for almost a whole half hour!
So here is the STRANGE part of this weekend:
It was almost 2 o'clock in the morning. Everyone was asleep until Mark heard a noise. He thought that it was Conner walking around the house trying to find us. So he went out to get him. Well it wasn't Conner. There were two guys laying on the couches. YIKES! He talked to them for a minute and they said they just needed to crash there tonight, one of them was the owner's grandson. So Mark came back to bed and told me that there were two guys in the house. Well, I was so worried about our kids. All I could think about was waking up in the morning and the kids would be gone.

After a very restless night, the kids all woke up and so did our two guys sleeping on the couches. It turns out one of the guys was from Castle Dale. And they were very nice. I guess I didn't need to worry about them running off with my children.
