Yard Work

We started working on our fence during the middle of April.  And our boys were definitely in heaven playing in all the dirt.  We were lucky enough to have a friend help us dig our post holes with his tractor so it only took about 30 minutes! YAY! 

I love this picture of Ryder.  He thought it was really fun to disappear in all the holes. 

Mark took Thursday and Friday off and his parents came up to help us cement all of the poles in.  It was kind of a yucky weekend but we got it done in between rain storms.  And we had a lot of mud to deal with, so I am very thankful for those rain boots.  I even got a pair for me and they have come in handy when I have to pull Paxton out of the neighboring ponds of water or fish toys out of the little stream that runs through our neighborhood. 

A First for Me

My mom celebrated her birthday in April and I have always wanted to make cute cakes.  So I volunteered to make her cake for our party.  It was pretty fun, but we'll see if I feel ambitious enough to do it for our next birthday party. 

 

Conner's 1st Grade Play

The 1st grade put on a cute little play about Honesty in the beginning of April.  Conner had his part memorized the first day he brought it home.  He did a great job singing all of the songs and only got a little nervous when it was his turn to say his part.
