Today was Conner's 1st day of kindergarten. He was ready to go but he wasn't really excited. It was no big deal for him. But I was ready to have him go to school. I always thought that I would be really sad and worried about him, but for the most part I was just ready for him to go. Conner said he had a good day and they talked about elephants. But I didn't get much more out of him.

Conner gets to ride the bus to school, which was what I was worried about. He gets picked up in front of our house, with only kindergarten kids, by one bus driver. But the ride home from school is with a different bus driver and all grades at the school. I was so worried about him getting on the wrong bus and getting lost. I tried to find out as much info as I could, but no one really knew how it worked. So I decided to go to school and just stay in the background to make sure he got on the bus ok. And I am really glad I did. His teacher had him on the wrong bus and his one neighbor buddy was not even on a bus at all. I think we got it all figured out, but I am still going to go to school tomorrow too, just to make sure!

Thank you for getting Reuben on the bus Maren! He told me that he was only sad at all yesterday when the teacher told him he wasn't supposed to be on a bus going home. craziness!
yikes, what a mess! That's so hard for a kindergartener!
ps-that's how I felt with kindergarten, but first grade makes you a little sad to see them go. it's such a long day!
Crazy!! Can you believe they are in kinder??? You are such a good mom to go and check out the bus situation!
